Travel Cribs & Beds for Infants and Toddlers

March 21st, 2008 by admin

Traveling With Infants and Toddler is getting easier. Really!  “One of the most common question we get from parents is ‘Where will I have my baby or toddler sleep safely when we’re traveling?” says Beth McGregor of Traveling With Kids, a website specializing in products and information to simplify traveling with children.

“There are some great choices for parents,” says McGregor. “Gone are the days of dragging around a bulky, 20-pound port-a-crib, now there are several choices that weigh less than 8 pounds and pack easily into a suitcase.”

First is Kidco’s PeaPod Plus Travel Bed for infants and toddlers is a great choice and it comes in two fun color combinations – Red/Navy and Princess Pink.  To set up the PeaPod Plus, simply open the zipper storage case, remove the elastic strap and the bed pops open – literally.  To fold it away, simply hold the sides and twist and fold, and slide it back into its nylon storage case.  Did I mention it weighs 6 pounds and works for infants – 4 year olds!   Open dimensions: 52.5″L x 34″W x 25″H  Folded dimensions: 19″L x 6.5″Hx 19″W

Next is the new Traveller Travel Crib, the latest brainstorm from the guys at Phil & Ted’s.  The Traveller has replaced the very popular T2 Travel Cot and added some great new features.  First, it’s easier to set-up than the T2 and it also has a new “side entry” option in addition to the original top entry T2 and weighs just 6 lbs Open dimensions: 51″ x 25″ x 31″ Folded: 25″ x 9″ x 9″ For ages newborn to 3 years.
